Son una buena fuente de minerales como calcio, fósforo y magnesio, indispensables para el crecimiento. Además, contienen vitaminas y minerales que ayudan al equilibrio del sistema nervioso. Las avellanas europeas tostadas, contribuyen a regular el tránsito intestinal por su alto contenido en fibra.
USOS:
Con avellanas se elaboran algunos dulces tradicionales, como turrones o mazapanes, y helados muy sabrosos. Tostadas, trituradas se pueden aplicar a las ensaladas y mezcladas con miel y pan rallado, constituyen asimismo una merienda excelente.
